If you are interested in starting a Purity Ring Drama Group the purchase of this book is your first step. The guidebook contains information about holding meetings, choosing plays, producing plays, and so on. Also included are the series of ABC books that contains basic information for costume managing, choir directing, and set construction.

Letter of Introduction
A play based on an 1800s Elsie Dinsmore story by Martha Finley. Elsie finds her heart leaning toward a man who is set to deceive her. Filled with Stephen Foster music performed by a “singing family”, popular during the antebellum period.
Magnificent Surrender
A play about a young girl from Michigan in 1860 who finds herself in the conflicts of her day and at odds with her own family members.
The Song Bird
Biographical play with music based on the life of hymn writer, Fanny Crosby. The play takes place during the preparation for her 85th birthday celebration and includes flashbacks to her youth.
Above Rubies
A play with music based on 1800s Scottish writer George MacDonald’s short story “Far Above Rubies” and includes two of his fairy tales, Day Boy and Night Girl and The Wise Woman. Music is performed by a folk choir of young girls.
